My New Private PT Studio
Out of lockdown came the biggest decision of my coaching career: my own private studio, built for one thing only — proper 1-2-1 personal training.
Well, it has been hell for a few months — but sometimes it takes a crisis to push you into the thing you should have done years ago.
With the lockdown happening, many of us were forced to stop, think and do things a little differently. For me, that meant completely changing my business model. I decided personal training would be a lot safer, more secure — and honestly, just better — if it was private, one-to-one only. So rather than sit on my buttocks waiting for the world to reopen, I did something about it: I opened my own private PT studio.
Why private 1-2-1 changes everything
- No crowds, no waiting for equipment — the whole studio is yours for the session.
- No gym anxiety — nobody watching, nobody judging. Just you and your coach.
- Total focus — every minute of your session is spent on you, not battling for space.
- Safe and controlled — one client at a time, cleaned between every session.
The studio is kitted out for proper training — strength, conditioning, mobility, the lot — and it reopened for clients on 25th July. The diary filled up fast, which told me everything I needed to know about whether this was the right call.
