Pete Gawtry Fitness has been named Best Personal Training and Weight Loss Provider (Leeds) 2026 by SME News at the UK Enterprise Awards. Seven UK industry awards in four years, and the most direct one yet about what I actually do.
Honest reaction first: I had to read it twice. "Best Personal Training and Weight Loss Provider (Leeds) 2026." That's literally the job description — the whole thing I do every day with the people who walk through the studio door — named back at me on a certificate. It's the most "on the nose" award I've ever had.
For anyone who's ever scrolled the PT noise online and wondered who's actually any good at this in Leeds: this is a third-party answer from a UK awards body, in writing.
What the award is for
The SME UK Enterprise Awards are run annually by SME News (AI Global Media) to recognise small and medium businesses doing exceptional work in their category. They're nominated and independently judged on the work itself — client outcomes, longevity, reputation — not paid placements.
The category I won is the one that actually maps to my coaching: "Best Personal Training and Weight Loss Provider". In other words — the people who turn up at my door to get fitter, leaner, stronger and out the other side of years of yo-yo dieting. That's the work.
