Your whole plan, in your pocket.

Everything I build for you lands in the Pete Gawtry Fitness app, my own app, built for my clients. Not a PDF, not a spreadsheet, not white-label software. Open it and you know exactly what to do today.

On the App Store · Built for iPhone & Android · Try it free for 14 days — no card needed. The 14-day trial includes app access only; coaching starts only after you choose a paid plan, and nothing charges automatically on day 15.

  • Today's session, queued up. The exact workout, sets, reps and rest. Tick it off as you go.
  • Every exercise, properly shown. A library of 2,000+ exercises, every one with an animated demonstration and almost all with my written coaching cues, and you can swap any exercise in two taps.
  • Nutrition without the faff. Your meal plan and macro targets, plus a food diary with a barcode scanner.
  • Weekly check-ins. A quick review of energy, sleep, food and training. I read every one and adjust your plan.
  • Progress that keeps you honest. Weigh-ins, trend charts, progress photos side by side, and every one of them scores points in the PG League: badges, boards, real medals.

Online PT, done properly.

Most "online PT" is a template library, a quiz, and a chatbot. Mine isn't. Here's the deal:

01

Built by me

I sit down at my desk and design your week, exercises, sets, reps, rest, progressions. Not an algorithm. Not a template. Me. Every plan is signed off before it lands in your app.

02

Train your way

Tell me which workouts you want on which days, your weigh-in day, your gym setup (or no gym at all). The plan flexes around your week, not the other way round.

03

Real results, no gimmicks

Strength-first programming, lifting is now proven to be the single biggest lever for health and longevity: stronger muscles and bones, a faster metabolism, a sharper mind, more years lived well. It's also the engine that changes how you look, so it's what we build your week around. No filler. And cardio's welcome too: love a run, a ride or a game of padel? We build it in around the weights. The system behind 500+ transformations, scaled to whatever your goal is.

Four steps to your plan.

No long onboarding video. No 60-minute discovery call you have to book three weeks out. Apply today, I'll reply within 24 hours, and your bespoke plan is usually ready within 48 hours.

1

Answer 12 questions

About 6 minutes. Your goal, training history, any injuries, what equipment you have, which days you want to train, your weigh-in day. That's it. No 20-page form.

2

I build your plan

Usually within 48 hours I deliver a fully bespoke workout block (and meal plan, if you've added that). Real exercises matched to your equipment. Real progressions. Signed off by me.

3

Train in the Pete Gawtry Fitness App

Your plan drops straight into the app. Video demos for every move. Log sets and reps. Tick workouts off as you go. Message me directly when you need to.

4

Weekly check-ins, real adjustments

Same day every week, your day. Weight, photos (optional), how training felt. I read every one, reply personally, and tweak your plan based on what's actually happening.

Strength-first. Cardio welcome.

I won a world bodybuilding title doing almost no steady-state cardio. I've coached fat-loss clients to single-digit body fat the same way. Lifting hard builds the body. Food does the rest. So weights lead every plan I write.

What I'll never do is make you grind out hours of cardio to "burn fat", your food does that. But cardio's not banned, far from it. Love to run, ride, swim or get a game of padel in? Tell me and I'll build it in around the lifting so it adds to your week instead of stealing from it. I get out for an easy jog myself.

  • Compound-led training Squats, hinges, presses, pulls. The big rocks first, always.
  • Warm-up first, then lift 5-8 minutes of mobility + ramp-up, then we train. Want easy aerobic work on a rest day? Add it, it's optional, not prescribed.
  • Progressive overload, tracked If the weight, reps, or quality isn't going up, we change something.
  • Stretch + recovery days included Mobility programmes for rest days. Stay loose, stay healthy, lift heavier.
  • Meal plans designed around YOUR food Not 5 chicken-and-rice meals. The food you actually like to eat.
Pete Gawtry, award-winning UK personal trainer

Hi. I'm Pete.

The whole point of this is that there's a real person on the other end. Not a faceless app, not a chatbot, not a junior trainer working off my name. Me.

I've spent 15+ years coaching people in person at my Leeds studio, total beginners, busy parents, lads chasing a first set of abs, women rebuilding strength through menopause. Along the way I won a natural bodybuilding title and picked up 12 awards, 4x UK's Best PT. But honestly? The trophies matter a lot less than watching someone finally stick to training for the first time in their life.

Online coaching lets me do that for people I'll never meet in the studio, same standards, same eyes on your check-ins, same plan I'd write if you were stood in front of me. Every single plan gets my sign-off before it reaches your app. That's the promise.

Built once. Works for everyone.

Doesn’t matter if you’re brand new, coming back after a break, or you’ve trained with me at the studio for years. The same system flexes around you.

New to training

Total beginner? Perfect. The plan starts where you are, progresses week by week, and never asks you to do anything stupid. You'll feel confident in the gym (or at home) inside four weeks.

Returning lifter

Lifted before, fell out of the habit, want to rebuild properly? We rebuild strength systematically without the joint flare-ups people get from doing too much, too soon.

Current studio clients

Already training with me in person? Use this for your home/travel/gym-away weeks. Same Pete, same standards, just on the app. Massive discount, ask me directly.

The PG League The PG League

Training here is a game.

Every session, weigh-in and habit you log scores points, and you race a division of people at your level. It is the reason people keep turning up in February. Joining is optional and it shows initials by default.

How it compares.

Four weekly in-person PT sessions near Leeds typically cost £160–£240 a month. Online coaching is £100 a month; a DIY app costs less, but does not include Pete personally reviewing your training. Here's the honest middle ground.

Costs are typical UK figures for comparison. In-person PT near Leeds is usually £40-£60 a session, four sessions a month is £160–£240.

You're never training alone.

Every client gets access to a private community inside the app, share wins, ask questions, and keep each other honest. It's coaching plus a team in your corner.

The Pete Gawtry Fitness Community

Train with me online or in person and you're in, daily motivation, monthly challenges, and a group that gets it.

Quick answers.

Is my plan really built by Pete, personally?

Every plan is built by me, personally, at my desk. I'll use tools to save time on the boring parts (like formatting a meal plan once I've decided what's in it), but the design decisions, the progressions, your check-in replies, all of that comes from me. If it ever stops being that way, the marketing changes too. That's the deal.

How do I start, and when do I pay?

You fill in the 6-minute questionnaire, no card needed. Pete personally reviews your answers and builds your bespoke plan, usually within 48 hours. He then emails you personally to walk you through it and get you set up in the app. You only pay when you're ready to start: £100/mo (or £120 with meal plan), cancel any time, no minimum term. The 14-day trial includes app access only; coaching starts only after you choose a paid plan, and nothing charges automatically on day 15.

What is the PG League?

Every client earns PG League points privately from sessions, weigh-ins, photos and habits. Appearing on the shared league board is optional and requires you to opt in; initials are shown by default, and you can leave at any time. If you join, you race your own division (Rookies, Regulars or Legends), with a winner every week, a real medal for every monthly champion, one season champion every quarter and 17 badges to earn. Full rules here.

What if I don't have a gym?

Tell me in the questionnaire. I'll build the plan around exactly what you have, full commercial gym, home garage, just a couple of dumbbells and a bench, or completely bodyweight. The system is designed for both ends of the equipment spectrum.

Can I pick which workouts on which days?

Yes, and which day is your weigh-in day. The default split is whatever fits your week best (3, 4, or 5 days), and you can move workouts within the week freely. The app lets you reschedule a session if life happens.

What's the deal with cardio?

Cardio's optional, never mandatory, lifting and your food do the heavy lifting on results, so weights lead. But cardio's genuinely welcome: I do a slow 5k once or twice a week for my heart, and if you enjoy running, cycling, swimming or a game of padel, tell me and I'll build it in around the weights. What I won't do is prescribe endless cardio in the name of "burning fat", your meal plan does that better. And if your goal needs real conditioning (a sport, an endurance event, corporate fitness), we build that in properly too.

How quickly do you reply to messages?

Within 24 hours, every working day. Most replies are inside a few hours during UK working hours. If you ever feel I've gone quiet, call me out. I want to know.

What's the cancellation policy?

If you pay through the website, cancel by emailing pete@pg-fitness.co.uk. If you subscribed through Apple, cancel in your App Store settings. You'll keep access until the end of your current paid month. No retention calls. No tricks.

Is my data safe?

Yes. UK GDPR compliant. Health data is treated as special category data, separately consented to. Payment data is handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1). Your plan data lives in the Pete Gawtry Fitness app. Full privacy policy at pg-fitness.co.uk/privacy.

Already a studio client. Can I get a discount?

Yes, existing clients get a significant discount (and a different onboarding flow because I already know your training). Message me directly at pete@pg-fitness.co.uk and I'll set you up.

Ready to start?

Take the 6-minute questionnaire. Get your bespoke plan usually within 48 hours. Then start climbing the League.
